I think the kids locked margot in the closet because on page 119 it says "Get Away! It was all a joke wasn't" it so I think they got tired of her true information about the sun. Another evidence is also on page 119 where it says,"
"Get away!" The boy gave her another push. "What're you waiting for?"

Then, for the first time, she turned and looked at him. And what she was waiting for was in her eyes.

"Well, don't wait around here!" cried the boy savagely: "You won't see nothing!"
Her lips moved.
"Nothing!" he cried. "It was all a joke, wasn't it?

I think they locked Margot in the closet because maybe they did not like her. In page 19 it said"They hated her pale snow face, her waiting silence, her thinness, and her possible future. This shows that the kids don't like the way she is I think. I also think that the kids don't like Margot because in page 18 it said"It's like a penny" she said once, eyes closed."No,it's not!"the children cried.
"It's like a fire," she said "In the stove"
"You're lying, you don't remember!" cried the children.
I think that means they don't like her because the kids said that she dose not remember how the sun looks and I think they were making her feel bad that she does not remember how the sun looks but she does know.

I think they locked Margot in the closet because it said in page 119 "it was all a joke was it." Maybe the class hated her for thinking she lied so they halted her.

The children locked Margot in the closet because Margot is different than them. She's different because she's from earth . I got the evidence on page 118." So after that, dimly, dimly she sensed it, she was different, and they knew her difference and kept away."
In the passage it directly says she is different.

In page 116 it says that the class was just 2 when they saw the sun, so in page 118 the children thought that Margot lied about the sun because the class forgot about how it looked like. And it might also be that she was different from the other people in Venus because she's from earth.

I think that the children locked Margot in the closet because they all did not like her personality and why she came from earth. All of them thought she was way different from them because the children thought she was lying that when she said that she saw sun everyday.
Pg 119. They all hated her pale snow face, her waiting sielence, her thinness and her possible future.
Pg 118 "your lying, you don't remember!" Cried the children.

I think the children locked Margot in the closet because on page 119 it says,"Oh, but," Margot whispered, her eyes helpless. "But this day, the scientists predict, they say, they know, the sun..."
I think they locked her because they thought she was lying.

And the evidence for the last sentence is on page 119. It says,"All a joke!" said the boy, and seized her roughly. "Hey, everyone, let's put her in a closet before teacher comes!"

I think it is because on page 119, it said that they didn't like her personality.

I think the children locked Margot in the closet because the children hates Margot and disagrees how the sun looks like.

"They hated her pale snow face, her waiting silence, her thinness, and her possible future."

"It's like a penny."
"No it's not!"
"It's like a fire in a stove"
"You're lying! You don't remember!"

I think the first quote means that they hate Margot because it says why do they hate her.
I think the last four quotes mean that they disagree with Margot how the sun looks like, because it says that the children disagree.
